The Book of Revelation starts out with the Archangel Gabriel giving the Apostle John 7 epistles or letters which he is to write down and pass on to the 7 churches in Asia minor (Modern-day Greece & Turkey). The Angel Gabriel was used to deliver previous messages to Daniel the Prophet, the Virgin Mary, and Zechariah, and the father of John the Baptist. These 7 letters address the varies struggles of both the churches of Johns Day and the church of the 2000-year Church Age. 5 of these 7 churches are struggling with idol worship, sexual immorality, and false doctrine. One of these churches, the Church of Philadelphia is commended for keeping God's word. The Members of this church are told to hold fast to the crown of Jesus Christ. Jesus promises to make them pillars of the "New Jerusalem" that He is bringing down to earth when He returns (Rev. 21:1-4).
In stark contrast, the final church, the Church of Ladacia is spit out of Jesus mouth because they claim to lack nothing and are rich in goods. Jesus wishes they were either hot or cold and counsels them to buy from Him gold refined in fire. To dress in fine white clothing of heaven and anoint their eyes with eye salve so they may see truth.
These 7 churches each represent a different time period in the 2000-year Church Age spanning from the missionary days of Jesus to present day. They parallel periods like the Dark Ages of the apostate Roman Catholic church (Church of Thyatira), Martin Luther's Protestant Reformation (Church of Sardis), and the King James Bible published in 1611 (Church of Philadelphia). I believe the Church of Philadelphia runs from approximately 1600 to 1830 and produced God's perfect word the Authentic King James Bible 1st published in 1611 (click drop-down "AKJB 1611"). At this same time English was quickly becoming the dominate language of the world and the Guttenberg Press allowed for mass production of books like the Holly bible.. This bible was the predominate bible for 250 years and followed Christianity to North America.
